We have selected a few of these amazing events that we are sure will give hours of enjoyment.


York maze hallow scream.

Winner of Best Scream part 2018.  Hallowscream at York Maze is a terrifyingly entertaining night of fear and fun.  Five separate live action haunted houses and over 100 actors, be warned they are not only in the haunted houses and you may meet them anywhere.  Topped off with a covered street food area where you can also get a drink to calm those nerves.


The Bar Walls:

The York walls were erected by the Romans in AD71, improved by the Vikings from AD867 and upgraded to stone in 1226. In 1800, the stone walls were no longer needed to defend the city and York City Council requested the walls to be torn down to help the city expand. A public resistance saw the survival of the walls providing one of York’s best free attractions.


York Minster:

Explore one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. Experience our vast spaces and breathtaking medieval architecture, discover our Roman roots and learn about the Minster’s role in Viking York.

Railway Museum:

These incredible machines are part of our collection of over one million railways objects.  Here you can see the world’s fastest steam engine ‘Mallard’ the exquisite Duchess of Hamilton, George Stephenson’s pioneering steam train Rocket and the only bullet train found outside of Japan.


Chocolate story:

IF ? you love chocolate and who doesn’t. York is the perfect place to indulge your passion.  Discover chocolate themed cafes, shops and historical sights we have on offer.


Jorvik Dig:

Gig offers a archaeological adventure to let children become real archaeologists, a one of a kind experience.


Beetle Farm York:

Meet our Rare Breeds:  From pygmy hedgehogs to areas, turkeys to goats, we have lots of wonderful animals for you to get to know. Our friendly staff are on hand to answer your questions and help you look after these beautiful creatures.  You won’t be bored and your family will sleep well tonight!


The younger ones will love the adventure.  Lots of attractions, pig assault course, Pedal go carts for all the family, Hunt the Fairy houses or climb the giant pigs, Crazy Golf, Kidbine Tractor ride and explore the nature and farmyard trails.

We have one of the four biggest Astra slides in the country, separate play zones incorporating baby and toddler areas, sports arena, disco area, ball cannons and a huge play frame for the over fives.

You can jump your way right across the park; launch into foam pits; showboat on the basketball hoops, join in a dodgeball game, push yourself on the Cardio Wall, hone your parkour skills, or challenge a friend on the timed assault course.


Northwood trail fairy sanctuary:

Northwood Trail is part of England's Fairy Sanctuary.  Surrounded by magical woodland.  Just 20 minutes from York City this fairy wood has existed for generations and is now open for everyone to enjoy.
