York Events in September

There is an array of events being held in York which are ideal for those on a short stay. We show you the best below.

Summer of Sport

You can see the six sporty sculptures on the Sporty Sculpture Trail, visit one of the Tipi bars, hit one of the amazing running routes, attend free yoga classes or try your hand at ping pong on one of the free ping pong table.

Over on Parliament Street, relax with a drink of Thors tipi and sit next to one of the cosy fire pits. The Shambles market food court includes the Shambles Kitchen, KREP and Stam & Maria Greek Street Food.

If you fancy something different the YO1 Beach Club  located in Tower Gardens has beach huts serving teas and coffees, ice creams, as well as grilled food served from the BBQ!

York Theatre Royal

Over at the theatre, Dracula: The bloody truth plays throughout September. This critically acclaimed, multi five star awarded side splitting comedy is presented by Professor Abraham Van Helsing and his three idiotic actors as they stage a life-changing, theatrical production surrounding the true events of Dracula. With four actors playing over forty characters and is directed by one of the UK’s most exciting comedy directors, John Nicholson.

Grand Opera House
